WHO WE ARE:

In 1988, Mike and Barbra Sutton started the Mini Donut Express, a small concession stand travelling to fairs in California selling mini donuts. Shortly after starting their business, they took a vacation to Amish Country and were introduced the funnel cakes and loved them! The Mini Donut Express was changed to Funnel Cake Express and Mike and Barbara began introducing Californians to funnel cakes. Funnel Cake Express is one of the very first funnel cake businesses in California.

In the early 1990’s, Mike and Barbara’s son Pat and his wife Lorrie along with their kids Jason, Michelle, Miki and Vance joined the family business. The business grew rapidly as funnel cakes at Fairs gained popularity and became a fair staple for many. After 30+ years in the business, Pat and Lorrie retired. Miki and her husband Michael have taken over the family business and are proud to continue serving quality funnel cakes to fairgoers across the west coast.
